Default All season tires for 13 GS 350 F Sport RWD vs. Summer tires

Looking to see if anyone has purchased all weather tires for Lexus GS 350 F Sport RWD vs. getting summer tires. The last set of Michelin Super Sport did not provide any tread life.

Looking at other options as my wife typically drives this car so serious performance is not a huge factor.

Thanks for any info.

You don't want summer tires when the temperature gets down to mid-40s or lower...even on perfectly dry pavement. Summer tires in cold weather is DANGEROUS...

Yep. A bunch of threads which you can search. I got some Goodyear F1 all season Asemetrics. There's 3-5 other fine quality tires that are all season and affordable compared to the expensive (and weather-restrictive) summer compounds.

Or you could aim for a winter set and just switch as the seasons change.

Consider Continental DWS06, one of the best all season tires. There are plenty online reviews and YouTube videos.

You should consider the Pirelli Cinturato P7 All Season Plus tires.

I looked at all 3 (Pirelli, Michelin, and Continental) and went with the Continental.

Consumer Reports loves all three, though the Michelins were ranked number 1 (78 overall, to 76 for both others).

The Continental were cheaper at Tire Rack, in stock, and I've read they're a softer ride than the other two.

I've had them on in Chicagoland for about a week in the some the worst cold, and some snow, as well, and I love them.

Quiet, and smooth.

If I had it to do again, though, I just might have waited on the Pirelli's or both paid more for the Michelins.

Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong with either.

+1 Michelin AS3s
did some hard back road driving and they handle fantastic. Road noise is minimal and noticably quieter than the stock tires. Great winter traction in the rain and cold. Haven't seen any snow yet, but I managed with the summer tires on snow so I expect these will be great.

Jumping on the bandwagon here

I am in Florida so guessing I should do summer over A/S Was considering Michelin from Costco they have $150 rebate , was thinking pilot sport 4 S - however, rear size not in stock front are about $280 a pop and rear (OOS) are $327 each, total about $1120 after rebate , and before tax. But have to wait and see if tires come available to order

So choices are:
  • Michelin Pilot Sport 4S - $1120 ($1210 + $60 - $150) installed at Costco but may not be able to get before rebate (warranty 30,000, rear half since different sizes)
  • Continental ExtremeContact Sport - $1080 ($980 + $100 guestimate to install at local mechanic) (warranty 30,000, rear half since different sizes)
  • Hanook Ventus S1 Ev03 - $980 ($880 + $100 guestimate to install at local mechanic) - no tread warranty
  • Yokohama Advan Apex V601 $925 ($875 -$70 rebate + $100 guestimate to install at local mechanic) (warranty 25,000, rear half since different sizes)

I like going to Costco but stock is an issue so any reason to not go with the Yokohamas? Will probably sell or trade in car before I need tires again (hopefully)

Look at the CONTI DWS06. They are a high-performance A/S tire and you could probably get them for about $800 out the door. This is what I put on my car back in November and I have ZERO regrets. Unless, you track the car or you drive it like you are on rails, these are going to outstanding. If you are thinking of trading in the car in the next 2 years, these should last you that long. These are just as premium as the Michelins without the price tag

IMHO, High-Performance A/S are the way to go if you are not tracking the car otherwise Yokahomas will be fine

Normal highway driving. Pretty conservative

Conti DWS06 are not coming up for tire searches with my vehicle. I beleive the AWD version with F-Sport Package has same size wheels in front and back but mine is RWD and has different sizes

Anyone know anything about Goodyear Ultra Exhilarate?
