Just installed. Didn’t remove anything, though it was a little tricky to get the right leverage. Ten mins tops. Put pieces in position, snap back and top first, then snap outside.
The car is really quiet at idle now. I’m actually surprised how much difference this made. The sewing machine sound is heavily muted, slight background versus the dominant engine sound it was before.
Hi, I just installed mine. To be honest, I didn't hear any difference before and after. Maybe I don't know what to listen for, but overall it does not reduce cabin noise by any noticable amount. It also was not easy to install. Very tight spaces and the cover is pushing tightly against the metal pipes. I won't take it out, but I won't recommend this to people. Again just my opinion.
Well, I ordered the parts mentioned at the beginning of this thread several months ago. I finally got around to trying to install them today on my 2017 GS350. It won't fit. Looking back at the pictures in the beginning of this thread, it looks like my pump has more pipes/connections coming out of it than the one in this thread.
Has anyone successfully installed this on a 2017 GS350? If so, did you have to modify it to get it to fit?

I took mine to Lexus and they changed out the vacuum pump and it killed the sewing machine noise on mine by 80%. I have a 2017.
It appears this solution isn’t available for 16+ models. The poster above mentions TSB on vacuum pump which isn’t available to me since I'm out of warranty.
Although I’m not sure if my car even has the problem (Checked via VIN lookup). Just wanted to quiet down the DI noise. Oh well.
See my first post, if your high pressure fuel pump looks like that then it will work, otherwise it won't. Doesn't work on the 450h at all since the fuel pump is different.
