Greetings all!

I picked up a 13 GS 350 lux RWD in Obsidian Black a couple days ago and really impressed so far. I have noticed that Lexus offered this model with an espresso wood and a "matching" steering wheel. Ive been doing some research online to find the part numbers for this trim and steering wheel but I am not quiet sure what the trim numbers are when looking at the lexus websites (see below for example). Can anyone help shed some light?45100-30C40-20: GS350. Trim 12, 21, 41. Leather and wood. Without heated strg. Wheel. Without heated, leather & wood, black

Here's a used one on ebay, not sure what options it has.

Just registered on the site, but have been lurking for awhile.

Didnt want to create a whole new thread either, but hoping somebody can perhaps help with some advice.

the silver trim at the bottom of my steering wheel has a small scratch that is giving me ocd, is there any way to fix this without replacing the whole wheel? Perhaps a sharpie with exact matching color to cover it up or something of the sort?

any advice/information would be greatly appreciated.

@7eight Welcome! You didn't mentioned what model year GS you have, but here a few suggestions/options:
-Buy a new steering wheel
-Buy a used steering wheel: eBay has used ones that may not be scratched
-Find a Lexus logo sticker or something similar that covers the scratch
-Find a way to vinyl wrap the silver area of the wheel (might be a nice weekend project): https://www.rvinyl.com/Silver-Vinyl-Film-Wraps.htm
-eBay and other sellers have a carbon sticker for that area of the steering wheel for 2016+: https://www.ebay.com/itm/192251842246
-If you have a 2013-2015 GS, the ES has a similar steering wheel and this may fit the 13-15 GS steering wheel too: https://www.ebay.com/itm/384515645763

Thank you very much for the swift response, I have a 2014 gs350 f sport. I considered the small sticker option but that might be a bit tacky, the vinyl idea has definitely put me onto a new possibility.

Just a heads up, I tried a super easy fix with a sharpie color matching as close as possible but still way off. Not sure if theres services that offer plastic repair or something like that

That would probably send me nuts as well. It's been a couple of months for you, if you're not accustomed to that by now, it will always bother you. Try the vinyl.

Hard to tell from the image and not in person, but if it's not too deep and a solid piece of material throughout, (Interior is the same material and color as the surface) you could try to buff it out with scratch remover and/or rubbing compound. If that doesn't work, you can still cover it with the vinyl as suggested by others.

Try an Auto Detailing forum or the AutoDetailing subreddit: https://reddit.com/r/AutoDetailing

I've seen folks post results that are borderline witchcraft in there. Post that photo and ask for tips.

Any repair you attempt to do is going to be noticeable.

Better off replacing it with carbon fiber or buying used trim piece on eBay: To swap the silver trim required removing the airbag and then a few screws.

Lux package is great, better than F in my opinion.

With a million wheels out there as parts, I don't know why one would not just replace with one not damaged.
