I suspect (I really hope) that no Lexus dealer will make that change.

Smart dealerships won't do it.

Leaving all moral judgements, safety lectures and disagreement aside, the OP is simply seeking information about how to customize his or her own vehicle in a way the manufacturer allows him or her to do.
The problem that many (maybe most) dealerships have with disabling the seat belt reminder chime/alarm is that - they (the dealership) does not want to be associated in any way with being responsible for disabling a safety device. They also don't want (or need) the likelihood of being drawn into a lawsuit due to disabling a safety device. Even if the owner of the vehicle, or the specific driver of the vehicle, takes full responsibility (in writing) in disabling the seat belt reminder chime - the dealership should still view their involvement as a contributing factor. In other words, heaven forbid that you go kill yourself by not wearing a seat belt and your family sues the dealership that disabled the safety device. Your family did not sign anything... ... ...

Actually, I didn't ask how to customize the settings. I was asking where one might buy a seat belt stopper. BTW everyone, I wore my seat belt today!

I know you said you don't like ebay, but quick search yielded 1,261 hits. First one, you get 2 for $5 with free shipping.

To each their own, I guess. Have fun, don't die.

I've never bought from EBay before. It seems they all come from China and states when you purchase that there may be a tariff or something. I guess I'm just skeptical when purchasing from overseas. I just don't really understand how everything works on EBay.

You may be the only person over 10 years-old on Planet Earth (excluding some people in Third World countries) that has never purchased anything off Ebay. Even though I am against defeating the use of seat belts in a car...maybe this should be your very first purchase off Ebay. The seller states that he/she has sold 744 of this item, and the item ships from California. Also, the seller has a 99.3% Positive Feedback.

Does the 95 in your name mean you were born in 1895? Seriously, you don't like to wear seat belts, but are afraid of online purchasing?

Actually 1905! I've had my checking account cleared out twice after purchasing online. I use a Visa gift card when I purchase for now on.

Guys, I personally hate the seatbelt chime. I have a gated community in which I go get the kids from the front gate from school bus, I often drive this short distance without a belt. I often drive a block or two before placing my seatbelt. Dont make any judgements. To each their own. If I get out of the gate, my seatbelt is always applied. However that first 30 seconds is painful. The 3rg gen GS allowed you to shut it off yourself which was nice. I would not recommend those clips as it seems like you would never place a belt which is plain stupid. With that said this thread has run its course.
