I have been thinking about this question for the past few weeks. I just wanted to see what everyone's thoughts were on this? Let's say the trade could be made with little to no change in your monthly car note payment.

Never. Even if it was cheaper, I still wouldn't do it.
And I'm not saying the Accord is a bad car either, but these two platforms are not even in the same class.

Absolutely not. Love the GS and find the new Accord to be atrocious.

Jeeze what were they thinking with the dashboard? I know: let's glue a tablet w ***** right above the vents.

No way!!! Are you moving down? May I ask what is the reason thinking about it?

Irrespective that its slightly slower that the GS, the quality of materials from the interior itself is superior to the Accord already. However, your idea did cross my mind in the past 2 weeks. The Accord is a nice car and like others have said, its in a difference class. Comparing cars to its same class though, I would pick the Accord over the new Camry.

I have a few Hondas and owned several more previously. I am a rear wheel drive bigot and I'm not afraid to admit it. The only thing better than RWD is AWD.
Honda only makes front wheel drive cars. Sure, some of them have a rear axle but the motor is still turned sideways and the rear wheels aren't mechanically attached to anything. Don't believe me, get an "AWD" Honda Pilot, CR-V, HR-V etc up on jack stands with the trans in park. Turn a single rear wheel and it spins but nothing else does.
Front wheel drive is a b@5t@rd technology designed to make cars cheap, not the best for driving. With FWD, you have torque steer, 100% of steering and power on the same front tires, 90% of braking on front tires. The rear wheels are only there to keep the bumper from dragging. If you didn't rotate the tires, the rears would never wear out!
When NASCAR, F1, Indy and any other REAL racing sport starts using FWD cars, you can start comparing them as equals.

Wouldn't do it. I saw the new Accord in person and didn't think much of the redesign. In terms of just looks, I think the new Camry looks better for the midsize segment.
If I didn't feel I needed AWD, I'd trade my GS for a GS F
