I wouldn't be too concerned about which dealer services your GS. I have a 14 RX & my 18 GS that I didn't buy from my local dealer. So, far they have been great on any warranty claims I've had. I always visit with the service mgr. whenever I go in for service and get to know him whether I want something or not. He even lets me go into the shop and watch their top tech that I always request work on my cars. He replaced a rotor that got damaged on the drive home from when I picked the car up new. He recommended to switch to ceramics on the front to avoid the brake dust issue. I think when people go into service half cocked with an issue can sometimes inhibit what they want to get done. When the tech mentioned that the ceramics could cause a warranty issue in front of the service mgr., the mgr. said he's not too concerned about it.
So. in the the future if I do have a brake issue he may or may not cover it. I'm not too concerned about it if I do, he's been very fair with me so far. My RX had a peeling paint problem on the grill that I thought for sure they wouldn't warranty, sure enough he replaced it. You just never know till ya ask sometimes. Build a relationship with the mgr. whenever you go in for service, it worked for me.

UPDATE so im reposting some info. I went to dealer yesterday and talked to managers and anyone else involved. I had a technician ride with me. From what i was originally told they said they were going to document everything in system. When i picked up car when the valet kid pulled up i noticed hey no noise. Drove it home no noise. I put in my mind to just not worry about it. When i picked up car yesterday the dealership had a power outage so i didnt get a receipt. My advisor emailed my receipt today. Interesting enough it says they put on all new 2 piece rotors and drove it after no noise. I couldn't be more happy. I drove it about 20 miles today nothing. So far so good gets picked up for an enclosed tow tomorrow.

And she's off. If you look above i updated and explained what happened. No noise going on the truck either. Seems to have been fixed with the new set of 2 piece rotors

Glad it worked out for ya. Interesting how some have brake issues and some don't. I have 1,600 miles on my 18 and just switched over to ceramics yesterday to reduce brake dust. Installation was beyond easy, it takes longer dismount & mount the wheels back on.
