Default Passenger side fuse box - any switched?

Does anybody know of a switched fuse on the passenger side? I don't want to turn my dash cam on/off every time. (Not a 12v camera so rain sensor tap won't work)

Do you have a multimeter at all?

Use the fuse cover diagram as a guide.
Theoretically, the radio should be a switched-type fuse because it cannot be used with the engine & car switched off, but you never know until you actually test it with a multimeter.

With the engine & ignition switch off, place the positive red electrode to one of the two pin heads on the fuse, and the negative black electrode to the ground screw.

Remember to test both pin heads on the fuse.

With both engine & vehicle off, no current indicates that it is indeed a switched fuse.

Normally, when dashcams are hardwired, people are after continuous fuses that continuously supply power regardless of whether the ignition is on or off.

The easiest way to obtain switched power is to plug the dashcam into the 12 V socket inside the front center armrest bin...

Didn't want to pull all of the fuses and meter them, was hoping for an easy answer. I just routed the wire to the power outlet on the back of the center console. Hard wire kit in the trash. Problem solved

If you ever become interested in recording while the vehicle is parked, then you could:

1) If parking for only short periods like a few hours - do the hardwire connection, but to a fuse with a continuous power supply like the Hazard Indicator fuse, but the disadvantage is that it shortens your car battery lifespan, and also provides only limited duration park recording.

2) Use an USB 5V battery pack purchased from eBay, combined with a mini-USB to USB cable, which transmits 5V from the battery pack to the 5V dashcam, but the disadvantage of USB 5V battery packs is that you must have two of them, and you must manually disconnect and reconnect, and bring one inside the home/office to recharge etc, and the other disadvantage is because battery capacity is not great, you can't record for very long periods like 24 hours etc.

3) Purchase a proper dashcam dedicated battery pack like the all new 2018 Cellink B Neo, which automatically recharges when plugged into your 12V outlet or hardwired to your fuse box, and also automatically powers your dashcam until switched off. The Cellink B uses a Lithium Iron Phospate chemistry which is more heat resistant than conventional Lithium Cobalt Phosphate chemistry. Furthermore, the Cellink B also has an accessory battery pack that can be purchased and connected in serial to double the park recording overall capacity. The new Cellink B Neo also has cell phone App control. The disadvantage of this method is that the Cellink B Neo costs around $300 each etc, and it also must be manually switched on and off; if you forget to switch it on, it will not record, while if you forget to switch it off, it will continue to record while you are parked in the safety of your own home garage...
