Check BSM Malfunction
Hey CL,
Had a quick question regarding BSM. I got my '15 F Sport a few weeks ago and everything has been functioning perfectly. This morning, however, I had a yellow warning come up, displaying "check BSM". Just curious to as if this is an electrical malfunction that could go away, or is this indicative of a part failure? The odd thing is that BSM has been working flawlessly up until now and the car hasn't been in any accidents or had any panel replacements.
Just confused as to what has happened and why. Lastly, is this something that can be taken care of under 4 yr/50k warranty OR by a Toyota dealership (closest Lexus dealer is maybe an hour and a half away)?
Curious to hear y'all's thoughts and opinions.
Thanks.

I've had two connectors that somehow just needed reseating. One was an auto door handle unlock proximity sensor and the other was a BSM sensor that was backed off.
Service fixed both for free.

Update: After parking the car for 4 hours or so, I turned it back on and no error...Odd, but I'll take it! And no, I haven't changed out the puddle light in the side mirror.
