Default Miles on your car? ?How careful are you about the mileage?

My 2014 Fsport just hit 30K. Bought the car in June 2017 with a little over 19000. During the drive home from Virginia to Jersey I put over 500 miles or so. In the past 8 months I have put over 10,000 miles on the car . No issues at all. I also own an SUV but I love the gs and its bad *** look so ofc I drive it daily !

Question is , are you guys concerned about how many miles you put on your car? Im not too concerned as I own the car and don't really care about how much I could sell it for later on. Although it sucks to see how many miles I have put on it.

What year is your car, how many miles did It have when you got it and the mileage now? Just curious to see what the odometer for other owners is .
Thanks in advance everyone

Not worried about the mileage at all.

2014 with 41k miles. Bought in June 2017 with 33k miles.

My 2013 has 47k miles. It's just one of my vehicles, and it continually depreciates. I've never owned a car that didn't depreciate. When I get tired of it, or it starts nickel 'n dime me or causing me headaches, I'll get rid of it and get something else. The last thing a Lexus GS 350 should be is a 'garage queen'...because it's not a collector car or anything really special...

Bought my 2014 F sport with 50k 7 months ago and it now has 62k miles.

My last Lexus (an SC 400) I ended up selling with 220k miles. Ran like a top.

Racking up miles on my Lexus vehicles has been a pleasure.

I bought my 2013 GS350 AWD with 51K on it Jan 8, 2018. It just rolled over 53K on the way to work Friday. Mileage is not a concern for me. I have a small fleet between my wife and I. My other alternate daily driver is a 1999 Honda Civic with 146K and my wife drives a 2016 HR-V that just rolled 10K. I also have a pair of old Buick GS cars, a 1970 I've owned for 38 years and a 1971 I've owned for 4, that have 150k and 92k respectively.

We are driving GS to Jacksonville, FL next month and that'll put a few more miles on it but once that is over it will not get near as many. I drive about 60 miles a week if I go home every day for lunch. That's only 3,120 a year.

No worries as I have a short commute. Bought it in December 2015 new and 2+ years later I’m at 16k miles.

I have a 2013 ES350 UL. I saw this thread and wanted to post. I have only had it about 6 months and have put about 10k+ on it. I noticed the speedo was of about 5+ miles per hour faster than I was going, before I changed to new Michelin tires. Now its still off 3-4 miles per hour depending on the speed.

Reason I brought this up because I've Goggled about Toyota's, and Lexus's possible racking up more mile on the odometer than actually traveled. Honda lost a class action suit about this a few years ago. I drive the ES about 90% of the time. Wondering if any others feel like their odometer is racking miles faster than reality like I feel?

I always try to hold back on my mileage but no matter how hard I try, I always end up with over 12K a year.

I got the '13 with 23K miles back in March 2016. It now has 26K miles. In 2 years, we put 3K miles on it.
I got the '15 with 58K miles back in July. It now has 60K miles. In 7 months, we put 2,000 miles on it.

We don't drive much in NYC so we don't really worry about mileage. What we do worry about is the roads and the wear and tear it puts on the cars however.

My 2013 had 50k on it, ive put about 2k on it in the last two months but ill probably put 18-20k a year on it, not worried about it at all. Take care of your car, do preventative maintenance, keep it clean, get it inspected annually, maintain it and you shouldnt have issues. Im actually curious to see how she runs 200k miles from now .

Same here - barely drive but I still do need a car in NYC for family trips and long drives. Bought my '13 GS in May of 2015 with 43k miles. I now have 53,500 miles no problems except I did get the AWD whine looked at and addressed under warranty last summer. The GS is a pleasure to drive so I don't have any personal "mileage restrictions."

2015 F-Sport AWD CPO

I picked up my car in late Aug 2017 with 11,500 miles on it, I just rolled over 27,000 probably this past week.

I end up driving anywhere between 20 and 30K or so every year.

I bought my car to drive it. I care absolutely nothing about how many miles I put on it, in the grand scheme of things. Eventually however I do want to get a 2nd vehicle so I can keep my GS out of the crap winter weather next year as much as I can, but I'm not worried about mileage overall because I usually drive a car till it makes no more sense to repair it. I am planning on keeping this car past 250K if I can.

BTW kinda funny that you brought your car to NJ, I brought mine FROM NJ up to Mass.... (got it at Prestige in Ramsey).

-Mike

Bought mine my CPO 2013 in Sept. 2014 with 9900 miles. Now it has just under 37k miles which is pretty low. I don't try to baby my miles, but with a family and 2 kids, it just makes more sense to take the Honda CR-V most of the time on weekends .

2015 450h GSFS - (April 15 build) got it in May 16' with 12k miles on it. It just passed 35k ... so I've put 23k on in almost 2 years. That's below average so I'm ok with my odometer rate but I love driving this car and don't scrutinize my own mileage really. I'm actually more concerned about having to detail from driving it so much. Haha.
