Why do you swap it when handing over to the dealership? I just keep mine in and they have never denied a warranty claim or said anything was the result of the intake install.

I don't got WOT that much, every once in a while.

I did have a dream a few nights ago there was some special "Supercharge" setting on my GS that lit up in a big orange S on the speedometer and I floored it, my GS just took off like it had another 100hp, I quickly came up on a sharp turn and cut the wheel hard and had the sensation I was going to lose it and go off the road but it stayed on track in the turn. I remember in the dream being excited I found that setting and a little disappointed when I woke up.

according to engineering explained video on CAI, they're detrimental in daily use and only beneficial at higher rpm so I wanted to test it and see if my MPG was impacted at all and I also wanted to compare the sound again.

Ah gotcha. For some reason I thought you swapped it because you didnt want the dealer to know you installed it for some reason.

I agree with their video in the benefits are not really there, but I don't know how much I agree that it is really that detrimental. It allows more air flow which allows for more dirt, so potentially you'd just be doing some other maintenance sooner (throttle body cleaning).
