Totally custom :P jk. I've had 3 different license plates in the past few months. Getting a new one soon. Had that picture saved in CL library, figured I'd post it.

So is anyone going to pull the trigger on this (aftermarket one)?

I dig subtle chrome accents. Pillar or side mirror wraps? No way. But a lower strip like on the LS - definitely. I'd avoid the G.A.S. chrome strips though. They basically chop it off a roll of that flexible chrome crap. (I bought some for a CX-5 I had and returned it immediately.)
The OEM trim for $899 is by far the best and has the look and feel of OEM LS trim. I found this vendor and they tell me it's actually stamped out of aluminum with taped rounded ends etc. This trim at $94 falls somewhere in between. https://www.ebay.com/itm/301412887345?ul_noapp=true

I bought that molding. The pictures I posted of my car above is exactly that molding. I just vinyl wrapped it gloss black. And yes, it is stamped aluminum, has a super strong adhesive, and comes packaged securely in a hard cardboard box. Definitely worth it for the look. I was actually inspired by the LS460 I saw that had the factory chrome moldings which is why I ended up getting these.
