Under Mileage Lease Turn In

Under Mileage Lease Turn In
I will be about 4,000 miles under my mileage limit. Does this give me any leverage with the dealer (waive turn in fee?, waive wear and tear?) Should I shop dealers?
I leased it 5/7/15. Its a 2013 GS350. It had 41,704 at the time (certified used lease). They gave me 15k per year so max is 86,704.
I expect to have about 82k on it a turn in.
No wear and tear penalties expected except 1 small stone chip on hood. Tires will be close to the wear limit (3/32-5/32) but Lexus financial told me thats fine as long as no cord showing.

4000miles is hardly anything... most dealers aren't going to care, after all you are turning it in no matter what. What are you going to do, put it on a lift and run the remaining 4000 miles(and pay for gas)?

Since you leased a CPO car and all existing warranties on that car (including powertrain) at that turn-in level are now expired, I doubt you'll have much leverage. If you plan to lease again, you'll definitely have a better chance at them waiving end of lease fees.

Pretty sure they always waive the "termination fee" if you lease another vehicle from Lexus.

Wife just turned in her CT a few months ago, she was about 600 miles under her limit. The extra covered her lease termination fee and she actually got a check back from Lexus for like $20 or something.

I have leased cars from Lexus Financial for 15 years and almost always am at or over the mileage limit. And they have charged me for being over just 2 miles. My current lease will be turned in with maybe almost 6K miles under and I do not expect any reward for that. They have always waived the lease return fee when leasing another Lexus with just a few months or days but never when another Lease was not pending.
I have found them to be quite lenient with regards to small wear and tear items including windshields but I would suggest that you take advantage of the free end of lease inspection that is offered and if the lease inspector feels that something might be an issue take care of it - especially a windshield which would probably be paid for by your insurance. Keep in mind though, the lease inspector really has no say in what LFS will or won't charge you for. He or she will just document every small item on the car but that doesn't mean you will be charged so don't be offended.
Are you leasing another Lexus?

I dont plan to lease another Lexus. My daughter and son-in-law now work for Chrysler, so I'l be focusing on the deals I can get there.
maclem8223 - Did you lease another Lexus when you turned in the CT? Do you know for sure the refund was for the under mileage?

Nope, no other lease. And I wish I kept the letter but I remember it stating the credit was in regards to under mileage, swear it, there would have been absolutely no other reason for Lexus to cut her a check. Obviously no termination fee as well. Ate up most of the credit I'd presume.

They do it but don't often advertise it openly as I think it may eat into some of the new car leases. I was offered the option to lease my CPO (non F-sport ) instead of buying it. They were asking $1900 down and a monthly payment around $385 with 36months/12k miles per year. I ended up buying it instead.
