Default Diagnostic Scanner Tool?

I have a 14' GS350 F-Sport, 04' GX470, and an 08' Acura TL and was looking for suggestions on a good Diagnostic Scanner Tool to use so I can know what triggered any check engine, VSC, etc... lights that pop up?

I have this

Autel Code Reader Diaglink (DIY Version of MD802)

You have to download software per manufacture, first one is free, next one $10 per manufacturer.

The good thing is it comes with unlimited updates while standard version comes with yearly renewal. Also, this scans every system, unlike there other versions. (There are three versions) .

There is some coupon on Amazon for 10% off. do use it if you decide to buy this one.

This is one is good too. I think ChrixFix recommends this. I looked into it, it doesn't support Mitsubishi (it supports GM, Ford, Chrysler, Toyota, and Nissan (available worldwide), as well as BMW, VW, and 2003+ Honda (available in North America)).

I have not tried them but I was looking just to have a cheap scanner for codes. Is there anything the more expensive scanners do that are better then these cheaper ones? If it does not explain the issue on the screen you could always just look up the code it shows online.

Techstream is your best route for Lexus but it probably won't tell you anything on a Acura. You can get the Mini VCI OBD2 cable and software on Amazon.com or Ebay for $20 - $30. Techstream will let you do quite a bit, tell you exactly what isn't working in English vs just providing a code along with giving you access to custom settings the dealer charges $100 to change. My 200k mile 06 GS was getting to costly to maintain especially considering the carbon build up issue got out of control around 150k. I upgraded to a 14 GS and wanted the ability to roll down my windows with the key fob like my 06. Owners manual said it was possible but I had to go to the dealer. Fired up Techstream and changed the setting in a few minutes!!

Here is my google drive link to everything you need software-wise for Techstream: (Techstream)
Just buy the $12 VCI cable and follow the instructions to setup the software and you're all set
