Default GPS Map Updates

BCLexus,

Apparently my car's (mfd. date 3/13) menus are different than yours.
The first image is my menu under General Settings > Navigation
2nd: General Settings Menu
3rd: Software versions with blank map version
4th: Gracenote Version

I have not found a way to display the current map version after going through every menu.

Thanks...

The second is General Settings

Neil64 - Have you tried beginning your search with 'Info/Apps'?

Neil64 - Okay I just went to my car and accessed my current NAV Map Information (so how I accomplished doing it is fresh on my mind).

It provided the current NAV Map version information that is in my car's navigation system.

This is exactly how I did it... Just 3 Clicks! (5 seconds)

MENU Button on console > INFO/APPS = Information Screen > MAP DATA Button (Located top-right of screen to the left of the return arrow) = The current NAV Map Information

Can someone else confirm this is correct?

A June, 2013 NAV map version date for your 2014 model year GS 350 corresponds perfectly...

Thank you for that map version date information from your 2014 GS 350. Your NAV has up-to-date mapping and POI information through the end of 2013.

BCLexus, et.al,

Thanks for: MENU Button on console - INFO/APPS - MAP DATA Button = Current NAV Map Information

Somehow I missed the Map Data Button on the upper right of the screen. It seems like this was an after thought in the Lexus Menus. I confirmed my car has the original 2012 maps. Time to upgrade.

Thanks for helping me find this data.

You are very welcome! Better a little late, than never to find out... I guess that Map Data Button was hidden in plain sight for you!

Neil64 - I am interested in learning from you how easily your Lexus dealership's service (parts) department is [still] able to acquire the GEN7 v2019 map needed to update the NAV in your 2013 GS 350. Please let us know what you find out about the map's availability for your 2013 GS 350...

I just got my 2018 Lexus GS 450h NAV Map Updated and Calibrated (PT219-GEN09-21 GEN 9 V21.1)

This map update displays Map Data: Map Version: 21-41-17 [2021-06-1]. This is the newest and most current map available and should be up-to-date for POIs and roads, streets, highways and Interstates as-of summer or fall of 2021.

The dealership's service department technician did the install. My service advisor first checked with the parts department to find out what part number was needed and if was in stock. The Part Number needed was PT219-GEN09-21, which they had four of them in stock at that time. I was charged $210.00 for the part and $53.90 for ½ hour labor ($263.90 total) to install the map update and calibrate the navigation system.
