Default How To Identify a Heated Steering Wheel - On or Off the Car

I just replaced the wood trimmed steering wheel in my 2014 Luxury optioned car with an F-Sport one. I don't like the old man look of the wood wheels! Swap took about 15minutes.
It was actually difficult to locate a heated F-Sport steering wheel, but managed to get one from August Pohl Auto Parts in Michigan for a great price..they are good to deal with.
Most of the yards have no idea if the steering wheels they have are heated or not. You can tell if it is still in the car by confirming the button to turn the heat on on the LHS of the column on the dash. Otherwise if the VIN is available, you can have a dealer confirm if it came with a heated wheel, or see pics to identify if the wheel has the Heater Control Module in it.

Looks good I don't like the wooden ones either, Leather has a much more sportier look.

I only like the leather because during the cold mornings, I don't want to touch wood.

Yup to both..that's exactly why I changed it. I like this new wheel even better than I thought I would! Much better feel to it.

NICE! Great information, would love to do this as well, not so much for looks but for feel: the wood is hard for long drives.

yeah, it seems as if it shrinks in the cold.
