30K service recommendation
My 2014 GS will soon reach 30k miles. Any services i should do other than specified in Lexus Warranty and Services Guide ?

As for rotating the tires, most people do not have their tires rotated because whoever they bought the tires from does it at no-charge every 5,000 miles without an appointment.

I would not have anything extra done. For the most part the 30k mile recommended service is to change the engine oil and oil filter and to replace the engine air filter and cabin air filter if needed. Many people will elect not to have their brake fluid replaced.

Thanks for your response.

It’s way worth getting the brake fluid flushed. It’s common fine brake fluid to collect moisture which impacts the effectiveness. There’s a reason to change it so don’t cut corners on fluids. It amazes me how many people will pay high prices for our cars and are to cheap to maintain them correctly. Just my 2 cents

If they weren't done/changed, around 30k miles is when tires, brakes and rotors tend to start showing aging signs. As mentioned, they'll do the inspections of the brakes/rotors anyway, but you should look out for any excessive rust/pitting/warping of the rotors. They'll let you know if you need new brakes or tires based on the wear limits.

I'm hitting 30k on my 14 RX and going to have the brake flush done for $100 with a coupon. Getting close for tire replacement and the dealer has $100 off for new tires. I'd have the dealer do tires but, they don't offer lifetime balance. With our roads around here you need lifetime balance. Still good tread on the original Dunlops but they are getting hard due to age. Most people think that just because a tire has good tread that the tire is still good, not true. Brakes, filters & oil I can handle on my own.
