Default 2019 ES looks like our cars :(

Just looked at the pics of the new 2019 ES. It looks nice, but the exterior looks too much like our cars

I liked that the outgoing ES had looks that differentiated it from our GS. Oh well.

So this will be the E Class and 5 Series fighter? Better have the performance to back up that look and FWD ain't gonna cut it.

This is no way a GS replacement, just look at those tiny front brakes! But it does look like a mini LS.

i really like it. there are alot of design cues from both the GS and LS. I especially like the side profile, except how long that nose is... and obviously the FWD. haha

Yea why is that nose so long? It's going to scrape everywhere.

I actually think the current/outgoing ES looks more like our GSs than the new ES does.

FWD, with a Camry engine and yes I agree "Too much Camry DNA in the exterior". I don't see much E-class, 5-series fighter, here. One advantage it has is it appears to be a roomier cabin. For me, the LS looks to have been the platform to carry on the 4-gen GS legacy.

The LS does look pretty awesome to me, and I have seen some good reviews. I am not saying that the ES looks bad, I actually think it looks good. I just think it steals too much from the 4GS design and looks too similar to our cars, which have a more aggressive look than last-gen ES.

Before I bought the GS, I floored an LS and was unimpressed by its heaviness / sluggish speed. The GS on the other hand took off like a rocket. Hard to compare a quick V6 and a heavy V8. Nice cars but different tastes.

Definitely a heavier car than the GS, and I really like the GS. New gen LS has a twin turbo V6, and it is probably lighter. Not sure how it would compare to the LS you drove.

Same 3.5L V6 and 2.5L I4 hybrid offering.. It's not a problem if they continued with a new GS, but if they are thinking that's enough to take over the reigns of the GS, they've really got to look over their homework again.

The nose is an acquired taste, but the rest of the car looks like a sportier Camry. Isn’t it supposed to be a more luxurious version? What’s up with the Shrek ears on the instrument panel?
