Default 2016+ Tail Lights on 2015?

I'm not sure if they changed the sizing and shape of the tail lights on the 2016+ models, but from pictures, they look like they're almost the same dimensions.

So because of that, I'm wondering if it was possible to install 2016+ tail lights on a 2015 GS 350.

They just look so much better and more aggressive!

I want them too... and several people have tried. Even though they are the same exact size, there is a wiring difference. Not sure if anyone has managed to get all the blinkers working correctly.

You would just need to rewire the connector right? Should still use the same wires, just a different pinout?

Also, do you think you would need to add a resistor since the new tail lights are LEDs?

Several people have done it. One example is MrFuel.

I did it, cost me about $1000 after I sold my original taillights on eBay. I bought them new. I got the GS F taillights because it has dark chrome accents as opposed to the silver chrome.

For the outer tail light you just need to install a load resister for the turn signal. The inner tail light requires some rewiring.

the outside light the plug is the same you just need to add a LED resistance for the blinking lights so you don't have the hyper light and for the inside you need 3 cables from the new light black for ground, green for the reverse light and blue for the brake light. Any one can hit me with any questions for the rewiring.

Do you know the best place to buy 2016 GS350 or even GSF tail lights at? Still undecided on which one I want more but either way I like them a lot better than the older ones, especially at night!

I would be interested in doing the gsf taillights also just because there darker and not chrome like the regular version.
