Default 285 in the rear?

I’ve been researching and found the wheels I want. They’re 20x8.5 +35 front and 20x10 +40 rear. Initially I was going to run the 245-35 and 275-30 but the falkens I’m getting a great deal on run narrow. So I’m debating going to a 285 rear, not really a fan of the stretch look, plus I’m only going to be running Swift springs so I don’t need a stretch. Will a 285 that runs narrow fit you think? I see people saying they rub with the Vossen setup so many have (10.5 +45). But on a 10 +40 I gain about 1-2mm or outside lip and a few mms on the inside lip. Where does is usually rub for people?

You would want 20X10 +45 for the 285 tire. Rubs on the outside

unfortunatley I can’t change the wheel specs, just tire size. So a slight roll should be fine though? I’m running about -1.8 degrees camber both sides rear.

There really isn't much to roll and if you do that, it would end up pulling the fenders out a little so the roll with pull should give it enough room but I would probably give it a little more negative camber.

Yeah, maybe I’ll just play it safe and go 275. I can’t imagine the tire being that much smaller that it would look stretched that bad.

So here’s a pic of the Falken Tire in 275 on a 10” wheel. Looks pretty stretched for a 275. I think I’d be safe with a 285 with maybe a slight fender trim or minor roll/pull.
