Default Peeling on shift ****

Can i fix this peeling or do i have to get a new shift ****?

Check out this thread. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...ats-fixed.html There's a product that CL user rj4510 used that could do the trick for you. It's more related to seats/arm rests, but a potential solution.

But... I've seen the shift ***** on eBay for decent prices so that may be a better path to save the time, headache and potentially not having the end result to your satisfaction

It's also super easy to replace so I wouldn't even bother refinishing personally when they are selling on ebay for less than $100. Pull down hard on the leather trim 'pouch' to dislodge it from the shifter then unscrew the shifter counter clockwise. Reinstall the new in reverse steps.

A leather/interior repair specialist in the automotive field may be able to refinish by spraying over surface, I know its possible to repair leather seats/armrests/instrument panels to a near factory finish, so it is possible. Now how much it would cost is up to the specialist.
