Lexus collision repair or local body shop
what are your thoughts on taking your Lexus to a certified collision center for accident repairs vs your local trusted body shop?
Has anyone taking there car to Lexus for repairs? And if have you have what was your experience vs a body shop?

In general, I would personally take my car to Lexus dealerships or Lexus recommended center. It's premium $ but at the minimum the work is typically not shoddy and is provided with a "warranty" just in case it's done correctly. A local body shop might simply say "no, that is your problem not mine". Again, just my own two cents.

My fiance took her car to the auto body shop recommended to her by Lexus of Carlsbad. They did a terrible job. All parts were Oem but the paint job was crap. We have to make an appointment for it to get redone. I'd reccomend going to your own trusted shop where you know they do good work.

Does the Lexus dealership actually do their own work? Some of the Lexus shop around outsource body repair to local shops and those can be shoddy also.
I would personally find a shop that you can trust if you're paying out of pocket. Just make sure they're using OEM parts if possible.

There are only 25 Lexus Certified Collision Centers in the U.S.

But, what is important is knowing if the body shop she took her car to was the Lexus of Carlsbad Certified Collision Center, or was it some other body shop? The Lexus dealer may have recommended any number of local body shops nearby based on the customer's wants and needs at the time.
