I just ordered a lip from this link and it's terrible:

The lip is essentially a single layer of carbon layed into a mold and popped out. That's it. There's no back side to the lip so the mounting points are 1-layer thick carbon fiber. This lip can't be used as is and would require at the very least a few layers of fiberglass layed down on the inside. I've bought carbon fiber lips off ebay for my other car and those were strong enough to stand on. This lip would probably break if you tried to mount it correctly, let alone any sort of scrape as you come out of a driveway.

I've contacted the seller to ask if it's some sort of mistake since this lip is a joke, and I can't imagine them selling it in its current state in good conscience.

I will start off by saying this one statement. The seller is very fast and responsive. However, they are very sneaky as they would always like to deal with issues of the sale OFF of Ebay. Either via email or phone calls.

I placed an order for a front lip with them as I've ordered ebay lips from other sellers before (ie. my '15 Lexus IS Seibon style lip) and the quality was amazing for the price. This one however is an absolute joke. I ordered one and while it got to me in 4 days (manufacturer is located in San Jose, CA).

The part is completely hollow inside and literally would SNAP if you press it like a taco shell.

2 POS complete waste of money.


This is how the first lip was shipped to me out of box. I mounted it and literally questioning myself if that was what it was suppose to look like: (the excuse was that it came from the factory unfinished with the bottom half completely missing)

So after logging a complaint to them on the item, they sent me a replacement WITHOUT asking for the defective one back: (strange how these things sell for $300 each) this is what it looked like after splitting at the seam

I tore off the bottom part that split and this is how well the lip holds up...it's paper

I ended up with Josh hooking me with an authentic Lexon lip and came with a peace of mind of non-wasted time. Just a fair warning to everyone considering an ebay version.

Authentic lips are no different. They are also hollow inside and feel very flimsy. When I ordered my Aimgain lip from Japan, I received not 1 but 2 lips, because the top and bottom sections separated, either during shipment or came like that from the manufacturer.
