So I've had my 2013 GS350 F Sport for almost two years next month. I'm looking to move into something newer and I found this used non-F Sport 2016 GS350 with 15k:

What do you guys think? This was probably a loaner car? Should I be worried about any issues? I've never had any major issues with my 2013.
My GS has 65k now and I got it as a CPO and I still owe on it but I'm not upside down on the loan thankfully.

This 2015 would still have some factory warranty right?

I'm okay with not having a F Sport as I rarely used the Sport + option on my car.

the 2015 will still have one year of factory warranty.

I wouldn't worry much about it being a loaner other than it won't have been cared for in the most meticulous manner when it comes to things like parking safely, avoiding paint imperfections, etc. You can assume maintenance work was done by the dealer according to factory recommendations and any reported issues addressed. Chances are at 15k all it had done was one oil change.

But you can also keep driving your still warrantied almost paid off car and put that money to better use.

I am toying with the thought of trading my '15 for an '18 (or '19 if available), so I know where you are coming from. However, this '16 you are looking at seems pretty minimally equipped. Aside from not being an F Sport or Luxury model, there is no ML, none of the newer safety features (lane keep assist, radar cruise, etc.) and it doesn't even have Blind Spot Monitor.

I think you could keep searching and find a much better equipped example for the same price.

agreed.. you would only be trading up for a few features and updated look.. if thats worth the 10k + difference you'd be paying then go for it

I agree with the last couple posts from JDR76 and Psykotik - from an all-in features standpoint, you're better off with your current car vs. an unknown that has fewer features. Plus, when you purchased your current ride there must have been a reason why you chose the F-Sport with its features over any non F-Sport model.

I get wanting to get into a new model (I just went from a 2013 GS350 F-Sport AWD to a 2018) but you should make sure all the reasons/features why you love your current car carry over into the new car to avoid what could inevitably be regret.

Thanks for the input guys. Yeah I didn't even notice that it didn't have BSM.

I got my F Sport because of the look of it mainly haha.

I'm even toying with the idea of a 2018 Camry XSE V6 with the red interior. I don't know if that would be considered a "downgrade" going to a Camry from a GS.

I'm quite impressed with the new Camry, but I would even take this fairly basic 2016 GS350 you posted here over a brand new Camry. It's just a different league. They compare well on paper, and the Camry has lots of great features, but at the end of the day the Camry just isn't as solid, and you're driving off in a nose heavy car with too much power to route through the front wheels.

I say either hold on to your F Sport or keep looking for the right GS to come along.

Haha we think alike.

The only thing that I don't like about that LS is that it's not CPO. I know that repair bills would be more on an LS than my GS. It is clean though. I can probably get an extended warranty from another Lexus dealer.

You should hold out for another GS - don't get the Camry its definitely gonna be a step down (i think the camry is a bit overpriced in the trim you mentioned!). Its harder to find the 2016 GS's mainly because the sales dropped off and usually the leases come back in within 2.5/3 years...

Yeah I've convinced myself to stick with Lexus and either GS or a LS.
California has the the good deals on the GS's haha. I just don't like that the cars from Cali usually have holes on their front bumpers. I'm too OCD for that haha. Luckily AZ doesn't have a front plate law.

I have a 2013 Lexus GS non F-sport I actually just moved to Cali from Maryland and your right the bumpers are a mess out here luckily my OCD kept GS has a private parking space so I don't have to worry about that. But I recently went to the dealer to look at upgrading my GS to a newer one but Lexus has so many new cars coming out soon I decided to wait. The new Camry was on the list it looks great, I have always been a fan of the LS, but I also was thinking about the RC maybe even the RCF! I'm on my 4th GS I pray they dont cut it
