Default 2015 GS F-Sport tire alternatives?

We have a 2015 GS350 F-Sport with stock 19" wheels and original Michelin 235/40x19 tires. I always thought those 235s were a bit small for this size car, when most similar cars use 245s. They will need to be replaced this fall, and I've wondered if I could install 245s with no clearance issues or confusing any of the electronic aids. Has anyone tried this? All info greatly appreciated! (No interest in changing the wheels)

Lots of people here have replaced their 235/40R19's with 245/40R19's without any issues. I have a set of 245's I bought from a member on this forum. Waiting on my current tires to wear out before I get the 245's installed.

Not a problem at all, I replaced my 235/45/18's with 245/45/18 and it's been great ever since. Definitely looks a lot better and with it having a slightly thicker sidewall, a tiny bit more comfy too!

Yes, it's normal. It's off by very little. You have to change your tires seriously to have any major speedometer issues...!

The error is 1 mph or less, so something you'll never really notice. I changed to 245/40/19 on my 2013 and had no issues whatsoever. I just bought a 2018, and once the new tires wear down a bit, I'm replacing with 245's.

-Thanks for the unput; 245s it'll be. Wonder why Lexus would use an apparently undersized tire, when there is very little cost difference, and--I'm guessing--more choices available in that more-popular 245 size?

Are those the tires you sold me a few months back? Still haven't installed them, waiting on the existing ones to wear down.

You bet. The set I sold to you was the replacement to the prior Pilot Sports I had on the 2013. You gotta get them installed - they're so much better than the MXM4's. When I sold you that set I was so upset with Lexus that I thought for certain I was done with Lexus... then I calmed down, drove several cars, and realized I love the GS so I sucked it up and bought another

I have 3k miles on the new car, so thinking when I hit around 10k I'll replace the MXM4's at Discount Tire - hoping that timing is when Dis. Tire has their Black Friday deal and I can get a decent trade-in value at the same time.
