Is there a way to update 2014 media screen software to 2016 +?
I found this, but doesn't have any updates for 2014 model.
Thanks

Don't think it'll work. I went the lexus website given on that page, filled out the drop downs and the earliest and only year there's an update for is 2016, even though it says updates for years 2014 and newer. Sucks to have a 2013.
I checked the update notes, and there doesn't seem to be anything in there for a media screen software...It mostly deals with navigation and weather update errors.

The 2013 and 2014 radios are interchangeable and distinct from those that follow.
No one has been able to swap drives between 2013 and 2014 models, however, so they are still different internally.
Starting in 2015 the radio plugs are different, so the hardware inside is as well.
I was able to extract the drive contents of a 2013 and 2014 radio drive last year using a crazy convoluted process, and the partition layout and information was very proprietary, nothing that resembled a common OS.
Solution: leave it alone and mount your phone on the dashboard.

I tried an SSD swap; it booted but had display errors as I recall.
But I wasn't entirely confident that the imaging software I was using did it properly, may not have laid out the partitions properly.
For all I know, the system is hella sensitive about the partition layout and disk size.
