Harsh downshifting paranoia?
In the last week or two ive noticed that the car is downshifting a little harsh from 2nd to 1st. Curious if im the only one experiencing this, not sure if im just being paranoid. But i had read that the 3rd gen GS’s had some issue with the ECM that needed to be fixed. Maybe its the same issue? My car is a 2013 luxury with 60k miles. Transmission fluid was changed at 50k miles when i bought the car.
Car upshifts perfectly fine.

It's difficult to understand exactly what you are experiencing, but due to the low gearing of 1st gear downshifting from 2nd to 1st will often feel abrupt and somewhat jerky because rev matching has a smaller time window.

I had a rough downshift going down a hill yesterday in my GS350 luxury in econo mode while taking my foot off the accelerator, funny thing is i remember my 2nd gen GS430 having rough downshifts on that same exact hill years ago. Don't think it is a issue, my GS430 never had issues and since your transmission fluid was recently changed it can't be blamed on fluid. On a trip while using cruise control I noticed some pretty rough downshifts going down steeper hills a few times, people say it is normal, I would not worry about it, most likely computer is just getting a hiccup on that type of scenario.
