No, and I don't need a rear view camera, have the parking sensors. Switching to 2016 requires rewiring for the 2016 infotainment controls in the center console.

2013

2015

2015 rear camera CANBUS goes from Pins 1 and 4 and taps into Pins 15 and 16 of the Network Gateway ECU and is the control signal that tells the camera to activate.

2013 Has a Network Gateway ECU but the camera is not tapped into the Network Gateway ECU on pins 15 and 16. I think it might be worth a shot to tap it how the 2015 has it, it's a low voltage communication signal so you won't damage anything (in theory). And if that does not activate the camera, then I'd say get the 2015 camera from car-part.com and replace the one you have. You'll just need to get connector.
@eddie420 Looking back at this now I'm going to wire those can bus connections and see if my backup camera works again. Thanks for the info, almost a year later now

Ahahaha, I know you have been busy with all your other stuff (repainting bumper, etc.). Hopefully this works out for you. Keep us posted!

Let me know if that works out.
I want the BeatSonic front camera module, but it only works with the 15+ head units.

So I bought a used 2015 camera, wired the can bus lines to the network gateway ecu and wired the other pins to the back of the 12.3" display, didn't work. Instead I got the BSM light on the dash. I undid the mod and BSM works again.

Please tell me how to fix the clicking fan! I have the same issue on my GS. It usually happens when it's cold.

See this post and scroll downwards:

You have the disassemble the entire head unit, take pics along the way, and bag/tag the parts/screws, so you know how to reassemble everything.

This was the fan I replaced the stock defective one with:
Amazon Amazon

There are two fans so you issue could be with the other fan or both, only way to know for sure is to test the fans by itself outside the case, or just replace both.

For 2016+ with full screen you have to change the 12.3" display to the one from the 2016, also the hand controls on the center console. There are actual hardware differences that prevent the 2013-2015 12.3" display from going full screen.

So yeah like the Russian guy did, it's doable, but a very expensive mod.

oh snap I think I found a backup camera solution on Alibaba. It's made for 2015-2017 lexus, so maybe it will work with my 2015 Head unit. It connects right to the back of the 12.3" display and I just have to buy an aftermarket backup camera, possible better image quality than stock one.

Sorry to thread jack, but @aachowhan , if you replace the clicking fan, could you PLEASE take photos along the way or better yet a VIDEO of the process?

It has sporadically happenes on my vehicle and I know @peasodos took the dive to rip open the entire stereo unit, but I just haven't had the time or courage But I may tackle this over the winter too.

Will do, I'm thinking of getting the fan soon. Mine has been whining when starting up in the colder days.

Then all you need is 2x of these:

I'm living without the backup camera, not a big deal since I have the parking sensors. Maybe in a few years I'll score a deal on a 2016+ head unit and try hooking that up.
Do you still have this cable?
