Default Accessory Power

When I turn off the engine in my Cadillac STS-V, the accessories (radio, windows, roof, etc.) will still work for about 15 minutes. With my GS350, it doesn't allow that. Is that a setting issue? I would like for it to continue to work for a short time (like most other vehicles) when I shut the engine off. Any help on correcting this?

Thanks.

The only way to retain accessory power is to turn off the car while the gear selector is in a position other than Park (I use neutral). Then you can move the selector to Park and your power will stay on for about 10-15 minutes.

It's in the Owners Manual.

When stopping the engine with the shift lever in a position other than P
If the engine is stopped with the shift lever in a position other than P, the engine switch will not be turned off but instead be turned to ACCESSORY mode.

I’m in Edmonds now but grew up not far from Bangor (Port Orchard and Silverdale).

How do you get the Auto E-brake to engage if you turn the car off in Neutral?

This really annoys me, it's a simple software change for Lexus. My Commodore ran all accessories until the driver's door opens, and then some for a period of time after. wish the Lexus did this too.
I shouldn't have to switch on accessories to operate the windows, but the only way around it is to rewire the power with a delay off relay!

I don't believe it will engage at all stopping the engine in this manner.

The windows are still controllable after you shut the engine off, until you open up a door. I do wish the radio would still play until the door is opened. I also wish the car stayed running when remote started and a door is opened, but that's beating a dead horse lol.

Does doing this set the auto e-brake? I'm concern that if we do this on an inline or a hill, the car will roll away if the e-brake isn't engaged.

No, it will not do it automatically until you cycle through the power again. So you need to put it in N, push the on/off button, put it in P, then reach down and push the parking brake button

When you put the shift selector in Park (after turning off the ignition with the shift selector in Neutral) the car is not going anywhere.

If I get out of the car, realise that my sunroof is open(why doesn't that close automatically?) I can't just get in and close it or a window, I have to cycle through the ignition stages first. Same goes for before I turn it on.
