Ok, guys, I'm confused and I should have done my research so my 2016 GS F-Sport have Seats w/Leatherette Back Material? does this mean the whole seat has fake leather? I need to find my paperwork but I don't remember the seats being Leatherett. Now looking at the 2018 GS f-Sport it says Leatherett seats so it's the same car can anyone confirm this on the F-sports?

I don't quite remember, but the seats are real leather in the places you're touching ie the bottom and back cushion. The back of the seat is most likely leatherette.

Only things that have real leather are the steering wheel, shift ****, seating areas of all seats...meaning where your butt and back touch. Everything else is the fake stuff.

This is pretty common across most automakers in the under ~$100,000 space. On the plus side, Lexus does the fake stuff incredibly well.

Leatherette isn't always a way of saving money. Generally, leather doesn't hold up well against harder surfaces, so seat backs, etc will be fake leather. Leatherette also holds it's shape better as well as its stitching, so used on non seating areas to provide a more stable structure. The softer the leather, the more likely to pull apart.
