Would my 2015 F Sport look silly if I had my local dealer install the orange brake caliper that the 2019 F Sport will receive? (I was always surprised that Lexus didn't do a color on the F Sport brakes being that they're a nice upgrade from the regular GS)
So it looks lkie the hybrids, GS 450h and GS450h F-Sport are gone for 2019.
Neither is in the press release or on the web site.
Jeff
I just got around to reading the release and thought the same thing when reading. Can't say I'm too surprised about this, but overall this was just a very odd press release to me. At least it confirms the GS is not dead, yet.

They will have to lift it of course to call it a SUV/CUV for the masses in order for it to sell. Unfortunately after seeing some trends and what is in store for the future this unfortunately is not as far fetched as it may sound.

It's all a move towards electric and away from fossil fuels. My wallet aches when I have to refill my GS on premium twice a week and as much as I love my car, I want better mileage. lol

Your wallet is still going to ache when you have to pay thousands extra, in some cases close to or more then 10K extra for a comparable electric or hybrid, the hybrid GS carried such a huge premium over a non hybrid hardly anyone bought it, just a couple a month to where it is now cancelled, owners will never make up in gas savings the premium they paid for the hybrid. You wallet is also going to ache when you have to charge a electric every night, especially when electricity bills start skyrocketing due to so many charging cars and our electrical grid being over tasked too much. Electricity is not free and prices are only going to go up. I have not even gotten into how much it will cost to replace those really expensive batteries if/when they fail or start to fail, that can be another $4K-12K. Hybrids and electrics are not going to solve our energy problems, they are likely to create more problems then they solve if they are widely adopted.
I may have misread your post, I thought you were joking that they were going to replace the GS with a Prius F Sport but maybe that is what you got to replace your GS.
You could also likely get away with just using mid grade to save a little money, I doubt mid grade would harm a GS350
