I have been changing the trim on my car and was wondering what the community thinks. I am a bit conflicted.
1st one is the original from my car - silver trim with linear espresso wood. 2nd one is the original from a GSF - black trim with black carbon fiber. 3rd one is a hybrid between the 1st and 2nd - silver trim with black carbon fiber.
Third one because the center clock trim, steering wheel trim, and trim around mouse pad controller are already silver. unless you plan on wrapping them satin black.
I think the silver ads some contrast to the Black carbon fiber and makes it pop more.
Plus why is the plastic trim on the left side of "2nd one" extended up further than your original one?

Yeah, I like the 3rd one myself. It breaks apart the dash from being all black and no contrast. The steering wheel trim, mouse pad control, and clock are all silver. The guy was going to sell me the clock but he didn't list it on eBay yet. Thinking I may just stick with black CF with silver trim. Appreciate the comments.
EDIT: No idea why that piece is like that, I have to see if it fits right or not on my car lol.
I think it all depends on the other mods you are doing to your car (both exterior and interior) so it all matches. To me its a toss up between the first and third option depending on the other add-ons.

He has the Carbon fiber steering wheel and shift ****, the car is a craft line, so basically going for that carbon fiber/sporty theme. He'll probably eventually get the carbon fiber side mirror covers, mudguards, front lip, rear spoiler, rear diffuser, exhaust system, mods will never end

Which one do you like?
I've wrapped all of my aluminum trim like you have there in the 3rd option using an anthracite CF with the exception of the center console trim piece. I've also redone the cup holder trim and seat heater area since taking these pics since it didn't come out so great my first go around.
I say go with that one!

That's why I went with it. It flows with my exterior CF wrap (roof, mirror bases, door handles, spoiler, front bumper insert)
I think the linear espresso is too beautiful to cover up. I'm also not really a fan of decorative carbon fiber (real or not). I work with carbon fiber, where it's uses are all about strength, durability and weight, so it always seems weird to me to decorate with it.
Not that I think it looks bad, just not my cup of tea.
I like option 3 if you're going for the GS F carbon fiber look all around - but I do like the original linear espresso.
BTW: Those trim pieces are ridiculously expensive so be careful not to break any clips - for instance, the pre refresh 2013-2015 front linear espresso or the lazer cut 2016+ version trim over the passenger side between the vents is almost $1000 itself, with the smaller driver right side one around $250...the upper door trims are $260 each! If you had to replace all trims with OEM versions, its around $2000!
