How wide can I go?
With my recent purchase of my '15 F-Sport AWD, the OE wheel size are very narrow in my opinion. I believe the stock wheel size are 235/40/19, what is the widest possible tires/wheels I can throw on this bad boy without requirements of any spacers or mods to the suspension? Is it even possible? How about a staggered setup? I saw many with RWD that you can do staggered setup but not really practical for AWD vehicles I assume. I apologize for the NFG questions. is down at the moment.

I think 275 is widest I've seen on the rear without major rubbing/problems. But I have a F Sport RWD. Not sure if AWD is limited in other ways. I'll let someone with AWD chime in

245 in the front.. Any wider will rub.

I just changed from stock to 19x8.5 all around with 245/40 tires (continental sure contact) - rides awesome and I'm very glad I did! Back to normal rotation. FYI, car still looks like it has staggered stance.

It will be a combination of rim width and tire spec that will make the difference. If you plan to stay within the 8 to 8.5" wide wheels, you will likely have no problems with up to 245 tires up front as clearly mentioned by fellow member np20412 above.
When I had my '11 AWD IS350 (my baby GS at the time hehe), the setup I considered was sizing up from the stock 17's to 19x8.5 wheels all around with 225/40/19 spec tires with a slight stretch. I didn't want to mess around with offsets and did a fair amount of research back then on wheels/tires/offsets/awd/differential limits/clublexus member experiences/etc.
If I were to max out on my AWD GS, i'd go with 245/40/19 spec tires on 19x8.5 wheels all around.. I know I know, most folks would say live a little if you're gonna do it but since I wanna make sure my AWD system stays humming problem free for years, thats the most i'd personally feel comfortable with.
HOWEVER, here's a thread with a really awesome word doc (suspension.docx) attached to the first post with the wheels/tire sizes being run by various forum members on their 4GS: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...els-tires.html

245/40/19 all around? Or just the front only? Also is your GS AWD? Any photos you willing to share of the rear stance? Thanks

That is why I am asking, I have a set of wheels in mind I am looking at but don't want the same stock look but wondering if I can go a bit wider on all 4 wheels without any modifications. For example would I be able go to a 19x9 wheel vs the OEM 19x8.5? Then use wider tires like 245/40/19?
