Default Grinding sensation on brake pedal, ABS or something else ?

Long story short. About 2 days ago, on the way to work my dashboard lid like a Christmas tree. I have got every check light there is on my dashboard. Just to name a few, PCS, ABS, AFS, BSP...ect. I pulled over and turned the car off, popped the hood and checked my battery connections, checked for any burning smell. Everything seemed fine. When I turned the car on again, all the check lights came back on. But after about 10 mins they all disappeared. Since then my brake pedal feels like an ABS is kicking in, you know that grinding feeling you get? It does not happen at every stop though, very random and hard to reproduce. I may be going paranoid, but I also hear a noise when that happens, like an air compressor.

I changed my front brakes about 6 months ago. The rear brakes are 2 years old, but those usually last longer. Car has 72K, not under warranty anymore.

Any ideas what's that all about ?

Front driver ABS sensor. $500 in repairs, case is closed.
