2013 - power trunk CLOSE
#2
I think this might be a safety design. Same with not being able to put your windows up using your key fob... just in case someone has their hand or head stuck in the windows.

I can use my key fob to close and open all the windows(including sunroof) by holding lock/unlock key though. You do need TIS to turn this function on as it is off by default. All my other Lexus vehicles all had this function. Interesting part is the trunk open button is only operable when vehicle is not moving(makes sense) but strangely for RX and NX's trunk, open button can close the trunk by holding the button but the GS and ES can't.

sorry bout the confusion....Yeah mine is a 4th spec GS (in Hong Kong), model year 2012, fully loaded but surprisingly this didn't include TPMS and that button to close the trunk; no even the cabin button closes the trunk...only the button inside the trunk closes the trunk.

its really strange because the relay inside the cabin, should be able to initiate the electric relay to the trunk button. Maybe somebody with a lot more electrical know-how has done it, but i just haven't been able to find it.

I'm in Hong Kong, so any dealer spec Asia part i can get from the local dealership (except for Navigation updates - yeah figure that). If anyone wants my help to check prices, i could help and shipping is usually cheap in HK. The jdm parts website is quite competitive in terms of pricing for the parts i've already checked, but for me its a bit crazy to ship it all the back here to Asia.
