Fist time working under the hood on my GS 350 F Sport. Had one complication with a hose that came off Click Here . Finally gave up and went back to the dealership to look at a stock GS 350 for correct placement of the hose..
As for HP gains, maybe slightly, but the biggest noticed thing was throttle response. Noticeably less lag. Sounds almost stock until you accelerate passed approx. 3K rpm then a strong growl comes out. Sounds awesome. Anyway a few pics.
I just purchased a 2015 GS 350 AWD and am very interested in the Takeda Cold Air intake. Did you install a "Link Stage 2" or "Attack Stage 2". Also, after installation, did you need a mechanic to re-tune anything? Any problems with the check engine light? Lastly, I have a 2 year bumper to bumper warranty, does this void the warranty? Thanks, Todd M

No tune. Yes to CEL if clamps not tightened properly (they can slip off). No to warranty void.
I started into looking into installing an intake into my GS350 as well and noticed they had the Takeda oiled vs no oiled one (Pro 5R vs Pro DRY S). Is there a reason why you chose 1 over the other? Thanks in advance...
Does this make the intake sound louder? How is it compared to the sound generator?
The sound generator is going to be louder. You'll just get more suction noise with this type of intake. There is an aftermarket intake that retains the sound generator. You can also get the same suction noise if you cut a hole in the lower part of the intake box.
