Default Is it possible to disable door chime in accessory mode

Has anyone tried the method mentioned on the forum posting in the below link? I tried it with no luck.
Maybe it only works on the IS. I find the chime so annoying with the door open and the ignition in accessory mode.

1. Press the START button twice (without foot brake) to power up the system

2. Press the trip reset button couple of times until the ODO is displayed (not trip A or B)

3. Turn off the system again by pressing START again

4. Unbuckle the driver's seatbelt

5. Turn on the system again (press the START button twice without foot brake)

6. When the dash lights come on, press and hold the trip reset button for about 10-15 seconds (possibly longer if it doesn't work first time)

7. While still holding the trip reset button, buckle the driver's side seatbelt

8. The odometer display should read "b ON" or "b OFF" (toggle this with the trip reset button)

9. Process should be completed when you unbuckle or turn the system off

The setting is retained until changed again (by simply repeating the process).

This is one of the options that can be turned on/off with the Carista app.

While were on the subject, is there a way to prevent the radio from timing out when the car is on, but the motor isn't running? I was detailing my GS about a month ago and trying to listen to a baseball game, and it kept shutting off.... I realize its to prevent someone from killing the battery, but 20 minutes of using the radio at a reasonable volume probably won't do that....

Haven't tried, but it can be disabled with a techstream cable. Well worth the effort to have it setup.
