Now that I have this nice steering wheel installed is there a protectant that I need to apply to the carbon fiber side? I thought I remembered that carbon fiber like this can turn yellow and nasty in the sun. Any advice out there?

Dude you can't just pop in here and show us sexy photos of that steering wheel without telling where you got it and how much, plus install etc.. Details please.

This is where I picked it up from DCTMS Thread. $600.00. Install was simple as watching a video to see how you pop the airbag out, putting a puller on and transferring components over to new wheel.

Maybe try to coat it with ceramic coating?

I know Cquartz UK won't be slick unless you top it with something, so that shouldn't be a safety hazard.

If and when it yellows, just polish it off. Or just apply some paint protection film, it'll work fine to block off UV rays.
