2015 GS350 -- I HAD to Buy It!
#31
I am sensitive to light so I can see through the tints fine. For many, there will be an adjustment period when driving in the early morning and late night hours. But once adjusted, it becomes second nature. Also, with every other car on the road having super bright LED head lights and all of them apparently not adjusted for the proper cut off (how do they pass inspection??!!), tints are a must. However, I did not tint the windshield, only a sunstrip on the top. Now that's asking to be pulled over. I think 50% on the windshield is good since I've driven in one that has it and you can't tell the difference.
I got a tint ticket in VA once with my last car for 15% tints in the front when the legal limit was 30%. I never removed it.

Dang meng! How do you see anything at night? Your car is white too, so 5% will look even darker. I am in SoCal, anything darker than 35% is asking for a ticket.
Talking about tint, do any of you guys have scratches on the top 1" of your front windows? Mine are all scratched to hell, I think because I have the double pane glass in the front making it tight when windows are rolled up and scratching the tint. The rears are fine.

Tint tickets do happen. But then again, every other cop car in NJ has tints, why can't I?

I get 28 combined and 35 on the highway. Best I've ever averaged on the highway for a trip was 37. I cared about mpg so I went with the 450h. I also drive in eco all the time, I find it more than sufficient for regular use.
