I haven't heard of any such complaints from GS 350 model owners. I'm guessing this 'program' might cover all or a number of different Lexus models, but the problem is not with them all.
I park my car outside 85k+ miles, never had an issuie. I also cut my dash for the HUD retrofit. The synthetic leather/padding is basically cemented/perminantly bonded to a strong composite layer. The top panel is also held down with a lot of screws. Then underneathe that is a plastic panel.
Anyway to tell if my 2015 would be covered under this? Had an IS that got all new door panels and dashboard a few years ago. I have not received the letter yet.
Got this letter as well. No issues with the dash on my 2013. I did park it outside for about a year and a half, but now it's always garaged. Humid climate here, but usually doesn't get super hot. Not sure what the previous owner did, they had the car for about 2.5-3 years.
Just received this letter - haven't noticed any issues with my dashboard as i'm parked outside all year round...but according to the letter its covered until 2022 which is nice to know.
I cut the hole in my dash for the HUD retrofit. Unless they are talking about the synthetic leather cracking, I don't see how the dash itself can crack. Two layers, both thick material, ones a composite, and lots of screws hold things together. Or they know of production flaw for certain years, that may cause a premature failure.
