Default Tail of the Dragon vs the GS

Took my GS350 through the Tail of the Dragon road today. This may be the most fun ive ever had in a car. The road has 318 curves in 11 miles, and cuts right through the Smoky Mountains at the Tennessee North Carolina border. Saw so many great cars and bikes running hard on this road. If you are ever close to Knoxville it is well worth the drive to experience it.

Glad you enjoyed it...and survived it 'if' you tested your driving skills near the limits. There have been more cars and motorcycles destroyed and bodies injured on those 11 miles than on most race tracks.

The driving was fine, I was worried about someone coming around one of those blind curves in my lane. There are signs posted everywhere too stay in your lane.

Don't blame you for being worried. That drive is known for numerous wrecks.

Did it in my GS 350 last week - nice day for it. It was warm, which enhanced the adhesion. It did very well. It was also pretty quiet with not many cars. Nice to be able to push the car around a bit. As hard as I was pushing, I am surprised I didn't warp my rotors. It handled it very well.

I drove it once before in my Cadillac CTS AWD wagon. A BMW 3 seris was just ahead of me - I hung on his tail,. Finally, he gave up and pulled over. He then tried to keep on my tail - he couldn't.
