2014 GS F Door Actuators Failed
Three of my door actuators have failed in the past month on my 2014 GS 350 F sport. Of course my warranty just expired 400 miles ago.
Has anyone else had this problem with their Lexus?

Had one go in my 2nd Gen GS, never fixed it because it was way too expensive and the DIY I kept reading about problems shortly after. 3 is crazy, it is unfortunate Toyota/Lexus can't design a reliable door lock actuator and then has the nerve to charge over $500 when they fail out of warranty.

I've only had them fail on my previous cars. 2nd gen had two fail and I did the DIY route and swapped the motors in both. In my 3rd gen I only had one fail and I bought the whole piece for 350 and swapped it. Could have just swapped the motor in that one too but I had extra money. So far my 2014 F-sport is holding up. Is yours CPO? If so then it should still havecthe 6 years unlimited mileage warranty and door locks are covered under it. Our Rx had one replaced for free with the warranty.

Yes, with the 2014 ES 350 and the GS 350 that I previously owned. The issue on both cars were repaired under warranty.

I had 3 replaced within the first 9 months of having my car. Purchased in Nov. '17, and they failed shortly after...'14 F Sport

My 2013 had the driver actuator replaced in 2015 under warranty. Others are fine so far.
One way to improve longevity: set default unlock behavior to do driver door only, and do not have all doors automatically unlock on shift into park or engine off. It's a fun test of your passengers: despite very intuitive door locks, plenty of folks still struggle to exit.
They fail eventually in many cars, but it does seem too common a failure for Lexus.

That would not work in this family.. the passenger door handle would be ripped clean off in no time. Then it's not just door actuators.

It is pretty common in the 4GS, unfortunately. I have a 2013 and my driver door actuator failed around the 50k mark. That sucks that you just missed the warranty. Try taking it in and see if they can work with you since it's a very common problem.

That's really unfortunate. I have had no actuators fail on my 2013 so far, 94k miles (knock on wood). Do you park outside or in a garage? Is the climate where you park very humid? Not sure if it could affect the actuators, but when I was younger, my parents had a dryer that vented into their garage (so dumb). As a result, the garage was frequently very humid, and certain parts on their cars would rust/fail much sooner than normal.
