Default 2015 F-Sport

I just test drove a 2015 F-Sport with 15K miles. I really liked it except for the infotainment controls. Is that something I can get used to?

It has Blind Spot Monitor and Park Assist options.

Anything else I should be aware of?

Seems like a really solid deal for $33,800. Not a CPO vehicle.

I'm currently driving a 2012 Infiniti G37x. Looking for something bigger.

You'll get used to infotainment. Yes It sucks but it's not as bad as everyone makes it out to be if you drive the damn thing every day.

Price seems high based on what I've seen on the forum, but probably depends on your location. At that price I'd want it to be CPO.

If that's out the door price including tax then it's more reasonable, otherwise try to get it to that point.

Thanks. Yeah I guess it might be the area. CPO vehicles in similar condition/miles are closer to $38K.

I should also mention it’s AWD.

One other question. Is the GS due for a major update? Seems like the current design has been around for quite awhile.

Yes it is due but Lexus has not announced when that will happen or what it might look like. All we know is that 2019 is likely the last model year for this generation GS. There will probably be an off year and then a new GS or GS replacement in the segment for the 2021 model year.

I'd recommend expanding your search area. CPO 2015's go for around the 30 to 33k price here in SoCal. My coworker just got at 2015 Gs F-sport white with cabernet interior for 30k out the door. Has 28k on the dash. As far as features go, I would look for a luxury model. Having dual 18 way adjustable seats up front with menory seats for both driver and passenger is a plus. Has Sport+ just like an F sport and has fog lights. Just swap the front bumper for F sport....

I own a 2014 f sport. I love my f sport but i would have probably gone the other route if I had known the features I would be lacking.

I still don't care for the infotainment controls but it is better then a touchscreen I guess, it is stupid they don't have more radio hard button like presets and you have to go through some stupid menu for that.

Price seems a little high for a 2015 but miles are low if you are willing to pay extra for that.

I don't think the GS is really any larger or roomier then a G37, if you want something larger then a G37 you may have to go with a LS, RLX, or M35/45 or Q equivalent.

Maybe a little high because this model year is ending and 2016 leases will start to show up.
But if this is the car you want and your budget allows, buy it and enjoy your beautiful car.

I'm in MN and all the GS's are AWD. I assume the GS models in SoCal aren't AWD and would be cheaper? I really like the look of the F-Sport and the driver's seat adjustments.

I had the kids in the back when I drove it and it seemed bigger but I'll have to look up the actual stats. The rear seats are flatter vs my G which are sunken in almost like bucket seats and make car seats difficult to fit properly.

Good point. I did really like this one. Ultra White with dark gray rims and red interior. It did look sharp.

I paid 33500 2 years ago for a 2014 CPO with 20k miles. Price sounds high to me.

It must be my location. Here are my CPO options:
2015 CPO F Sport AWD with 40k miles for $32,900
2015 CPO F Sport AWD with 30k miles for $34,900
2015 CPO F Sport AWD with 29K miles for $34,500

Yes most are not AWD. They pop up rarely but are usually priced similar. Yes The luxury model has the same adjustments as the f-sport drivers seat just with a couple more added. I love the look my F-sport. The I feel in love with the riviera red. The GS is a great car regardless of the model you buy. CPO may cost more, but if you 6 years unlimited mileage warranty on the car starting from first in service date. So the complete car is covered minus wear and tear items. My 2014 was first seviced on june 2014, so i have warranty until june 2020. Something to think about if you put a lot of miles on the car. Good luck hunting and I hope you find the right car for the right price.

I see what you mean about the Luxury Pkg. Found a CPO silver 2015 with luxury pkg, cold pkg, 8k miles, BSM, Lane keeping, PCS and HUD for $37k. Not bad, doesn't look as nice as the F-Sport but it's loaded up with options.

Lots of things to consider.

A lot of people would much prefer that Luxury package GS 350 over an F-Sport. The HUD option alone is pretty rare.
