Are you saying that buying the car with the package would be cheaper than buying the replacement parts from the dealer?
Its super difficult to get a Triple Beam LED Lexus GS. They are almost non-existent. In the whole Bay Area, there is none at dealers. I'm not even sure if the whole state of California has one.
I agree its hard to find an F-Sport with the triple LEDs but echo the sentiment of others on thread - unless he is in a rush to buy because of the deal being offered, since its a 2019, he can get it configured with the LEDs for much less headache. If he's getting $5k-$6k off the price of the GS without the LEDs, he'll end up spending that much for new LEDs and installing them...so its a wash.
Thanks to everyone in the CL community that responded so far to help my friend. :)

Any 2016+ triple beam should work. Also you would need to swap out the headlight swivel ecu located in the left side of the driver footwell. Forget about buying this from the dealership, probably 10k.
It took me almost a year to find a good set for a reasonable price.
Thanks for the info for the used parts. I'll let my friend know to see if hes interested in purchasing used Triple LED Beams as an alternative to buying from the dealership.

I actually never noticed that only AWD GS have Triple LED Beam. After you two mentioned that, I started to notice that AWD spec GS tend to have it. I wonder why... That's so strange the way Lexus package the cars.
Yeah. The 2019 has it as option but all the dealers in our area doesn't carry the Triple LED Beam headlights on the GS.

Retrofitting an option is always lot more expensive.

Ahhh. Noted. Thanks for the information as well. I'll let my homie know it'll cost 1.5x-3x more.

Yeah. Its a little be odd to me too. But my friend really wants the Triple LED Beam lights and he told the dealership was offering him a good deal on a GS without those lights. (The GS in our area, all of them, don't have the Triple LED Lights).

Thanks for the links! However, those are in Eugene, OR and I don't think my friend is interested in the AWD spec model either.
I think you are right. I think if he really wants the Triple LED he might have to order it. Question: Do you know how much Lexus would actually discount the Lexus GS with Triple LED Beam lights if the GS sticker is around 57K?
if your friend really wants it and doesn't have an immediate need then tell him to custom order around june-july assuming lexus is still taking custom orders and hasn't d/c by then. I know they offer best deals at the end of the year but its not going to be more than the price of those headlights. best to get it the way he wants. factory incentives only go up throughout the year and nov is when they offered 0% financing for previous year models and not july this year sadly. I custom ordered in march/april and it was delivered in july. I got 5k before any factory incentives by and if I had bought on the lot at that time i would have had 8k off. When i took delivery it was 10k off total. The incentive they gave me to compromise on the spot for a car they had was an additional 1k off, which in my mind wasn't worth it cause i knew incentives later in the year would only increase. if you really wanted to try and get the best incentive, tell your friend to order in may and let the car sit when it arrives. Someone in a different part of the forum said they knew someone who left their custom set for a custom cause they just forgot/didn't have the time to pick it up.
There is also a computer that mounts/connects under the headlights you you need to purchase, looks like all the eBay ones are missing that.
So yeah if you look around you can find the parts for a reasonable price.
This is just the headlight itself....for one side. This does include any thing else such as new level controller and what not.
I just picked up my 2016 GS yesterday and was open to buying these new even up to say $2500-$3000 for the pair brand new. $5000+ not including labor and misc parts and programming is eye watering.

Is that really necessary? I have triple-beam and it's good.... but I would hesitate to spend that kind of money for "an upgrade."
How about applying the $3000-5000+ towards your car loan?
Yeah the triple beam headlights are cool but not worth the upgrade price. I wanted some for my ‘15 and I was looking at $1400 for 1 I think. So $2800 could go to other mods .....or being being fiscally responsible.
While eye watering, if it were truly plug n play on my ‘16 GS I would spend some time really thinking about. However, every thread I’ve read on this conversion seems to show people taking their dashes apart and reprogramming ECUs; in no universe is that a road I want to go down.
