Default Lexus inspection

Take it to a Lexus dealer and pay for an inspection. The Lexus mechanic would know the specifics of the GS.

Thanks everyone for their advice and input. I appreciate this community more and more everyday.

**UPDATE**

Turned the 2014 back in to carmax today. To be fair, my end to end carmax experience was overall positive. No hassle on the return. Cut me a check right there.

I just didn’t have a warm fuzzy. It sounded louder than i thought it should be and given the miles I opted to listen to my gut.

I searched locally for 2015’s since I wanted the minor upgrades between years. (Eg Enform app haha)

I found a beauty of a L/certified 2015, 44k miles, extended Lexus bumper to bumper warranty good through January 2022(!!). New tires all around and super clean inside and out. Reviewed service history and it’s clean. Just basic schedules maintenance on this personal lease return.

Listened for ticking as soon as I got to the lot. So a cold start. Upon firing up I heard a ticking sound, but MUCH quieter and after 60-90secs, it went even more quiet to the point where I had to put my ear an inch from the valves to hear anything. I haggled down to 28.5k. For the extra 8k, I got the Lexus warranty, 1/3 the miles and most importantly peace of mind.

I’m signing papers now and photos will be correctly updated to show off my new baby girrrrrl. Her name is Emily.

Thanks CL fam!!

Congrats... with just 44K, you've set yourself up for many, many more enjoyable miles!

Excellent,

The peace of mind is worth it—plus a 44k vs 100k+ is worth it.

Congrats! CarMax is the best.

Beautiful, great colour, it suits the mags so well.
Now I have to ask, you've got a lovely big Fsport badge on the bottom of your boot and I don't....can anyone shed any light on that? I like....

The Lexus CPO program is a great way to buy a car. I bought our 2013 for $22,300 earlier this year.
They did tires, brakes and a battery. They recently did the 60K service. And boy the loaner and detail work is great.

Enjoy your beautiful car.
