Adding Auto Heat/Cooled seats to 2013 Lexus GS
So simply plunging in a 2014+ heated/cooled switch into your 2013 GS doesn't give me the auto functionality. The auto button does not light up.
I upgraded my head unit to 2015, but it still doesn't work.
Someone with TIS access please post the wiring diagram for the 2014+ heated/cooled seat buttons
for the 2013 this is the only wiring diagram I can find\, but only shows 3 wires, there are 8 pins on the switch unit.
Or maybe I need an AC amplifier from a 2014+ GS, maybe that controls the auto button.

There appear to be a great many part numbers for 2014.
I can't even tell based solely on my VIN which AC Amplifier is in my 2013.
I guess it's the Version L and Cold Spec for Chassis GRL15, but that's just a guess.
Looks like there are different parts for hybrid, three zone, and cold weather options.
88650-30Z10 Appears to be the 2014 controller for non-hybrid three zone w cold weather packages.
I think to upgrade my 2013 Lux w Cold Weather, I need:
88650-30Z10 ~$600 AC Amplifier
84752-30160 ~$225 Seat Controller
That's a lot of money and time to gain the 'Auto' option.
Let's see how this plays out w you.

I suspect that's true. But how do you know which AC Amplifier to try?

2014 Lexus GS 450h
88650-30Y30
With hybrid, with cold weather pkg, with three-zone ac.
2015 Lexus GS 450h
88650-3AA90
With hybrid, with cold weather pkg, with three-zone ac.
I don't think I need the hybrid ac amplifier, they have different part numbers but I think they are the same.
I have a non-hybrid 2013 ac amplifier without cold weather pkg, with three-zone ac, I got for $100 to do this mod:

I haven't actually swapped it to check if my Heated steering wheel, High-intensity interior heater, Headlamp washers, Windshield-wiper deicer will still work since this amp is for without cold weather package. Would be silly to loose that functionality for rear seat controls.
Part came from this car:

Personally I'd trade car with one that has the features I want. This kinda upgrade is time consuming and even after it is finished
it may not work as well as one done in factory. Good luck anyway to OP. If it's being done as a personal challenge regardless
time and money spent this is different story.

So far I only spent $40 on this mod, thanks to @eddie420 for the switches. If I can figure it out and it works, it works. No sense in trading in a car, buying another one costing $k's if the mod costs me less than $200. I guess I'll be on the hunt for that junkyard special for the correct ac amp. Parts I don't need or use I will resell on eBay.

It was harder for me because I found different color power folding mirrors and had to swap the internals into my stock ones.

The mirror mod is easy, plug and play, hardest part is removing the door panel(not that hard). Then it's three bolts and one plug holding the mirror in place.
