Cigerette lighter receptacle not working
I was using one of these portable air compressors that plugs into the cigarette lighter receptacle to top up a tire. I saw a spark and a little bit of smoke and it stopped working. I tested the compressor on another car and it worked fine.
Did I blow a fuse? Could someone point me out which fuse this would be and if there are any other components that are tied to this fuse so I can try that function.
Also where is the fuse box? Under the driver side, passenger side? Under the hood?

Thank you

Not sure where the fuse would be, but the owner's manual will do a nice job of telling you. Crack that sucker open and read a bit. I think there might be three fuse boxes in this car... can't remember for sure... definitely one in the engine bay, one in passenger footwell, and I think another in driver footwell.

The fuse for the 'Power Outlet' (e.g. Cigarette lighter type plug-in 12 volt receptacle) should be in the Passenger's Side Instrument Panel fuse box. It will be Fuse #2 (FR P/Outlet), which is a blue 15 amp fuse.
The small, narrow fuse box is located under the passenger side dash to the right (door side) of the bottom of the glove box. Be prepared to lay your head on the front floor mat to look straight upward under the dash.
