Default Rant: Front Bumper Tow Cover

Who the **** steals this? I've owned over 20 cars and typically the only thing stolen is the metal tire covers - but a front bumper tow cover? WTF.

Replacement part: 52129-30907 and it's unpainted. So now I have to order a new one and find someone to paint it. Anyone have any tips or recommendations on where I can get this painted?

Also, if you're the ******* in a black GS350 in San Diego who stole this, go **** yourself. If you're that hard up for one of these, it's less than $10, you don't deserve a luxury vehicle. Go **** yourself, I sincerely hope life hits you with something that will cost you 10x this.

Damn, man! You're pissed! But you let your anger get ahead of your brain. Your wish for the thief would only cost him $100. Why not hope it will cost him 1,000x the $10?

You can buy the tow hook cover painted from Lexus Japan for $5 plus $5 or so shipping.
http://jp-carparts.com/lexus/partlis...ype=6&fig=5201

The part numbers start with 52129, just scroll down the page, they have every color.

I made a thread on this:
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...ook-cover.html

I bought 2 in liquid platinum and perfect color match, one I installed and the other is a backup.

What part of San Diego did the theft occur? I also live in San Diego and want to avoid parking there.

That sucks, I got mine painted when I wanted an extra one for my tow hook license plate frame. That is the first I've heard of someone stealing the tow hook cover.

Man I'd be super pissed if this happened to mine. Mine has wrap over half of it (the front bumper insert) so if they stole mine they'd wreck my wrap too!

Costco in Carmel Mtn...which makes it doubly infuriating. It's not a bad part of town.

Out of curiousity, what does it take to remove these? What tool is best to avoid damaging the paint. Just wondering in case I ever have to use mine. I'm not planning on stealing any, really.
