Default Cupholder cover rattles when open

For the first time, I've noticed a rattle coming from the cupholder cover when in motion.
The rattle noise stops when the cover is closed. I know this is a minor thing but its an incessant rattle that just started happening with the change in weather.

Anyone else ever get the cupholder cover rattle?

you sure it’s not the armrest? Try opening/closing armrest while driving to see if anything changes

I have a rattle in my cupholder area, asked the dealer to fix it once or twice, gave up on getting it fixed.

I had a rattle in the cupholder turned out to be the drink holder insert in the middle. I just added some thin foam padding to the sides of the insert and it went away.

Try taking the drink holder insert out and see if that's the culprit.

It's definitely not the armrest. The sound goes away when I flip down and close the cupholder cover.
This is probably in partly due to the sudden cold weather we just got here. I'll look into applying some felt tape to quiet this down.

I recently fixed some rattles on my center console panel with some felt tape.
It's the panel where the start button is. Put some felt tape behind the panel, all is quiet now.
You may have to remove your cup holder and put bunch of tape where the plastic meets the shifter console panel.
I had some rattles there too. Lexus didn't insulate this area very well.

I ordered this tape from Amazon, works great. Looks to be same Automotive felt tape most manufacture uses.
