Hello all. Anyone hearing of any deals on 2019 GS yet? I suppose to early in the year. Know there is $4,500 lease cash but with 50% residual on 36/12, seems outrageous. Why residuals so low? Think better deals to be had in summer sales event?
Debating whether to wait out a good deal on '19 or wait for a 2016 CPO to come along. Thoughts?

Expensive cars take a hit in the 1st 3 years.
It is up to you... Good luck.

I'd wait for '16 CPO since the initial depreciation hit will work in your favor. These are usually coming off a 3 yr lease, so they should be trickling into dealers soon.

There were absolutely no changes between the 2018 and 2019 model years. The biggest change I believe is the lack of the optional lux package in both 2018 and 2019 model years. In 2017, the Lexus Safety System became standard, it was optional for 2016.
If some dealership has a leftover '18 that would be the best deal on a fairly new GS. Personally, I'd wait for a nice CPO '16 with low mileage to show up.

Of course that’s still a far cry from the 67% residual in the 2019 Highlander after 3 years, but we have to remember the GS is already an “old” model with low demand, demand which will be even lower in 3 years... so to those looking for a 2019 GS in 2022, there will be great deals to be had!

Going back further, the safety features were optional in 2016 and became standard in 2017. Those were adaptive cruise control, , automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning (which is annoying as can be!) and lane departure mitigation (ie will attempt to keep car in the lane) and auto high beams. I think it was a little bold of Lexus to charge for this in 2017, as popular as these features are on many cars today at much lower price points.
I *think* that limited slip was added as an option to the RWD model in 2017. Not 100% sure about that. As for any other changes--there were probably some I'm missing.
