Gas mileage

IMO most of the mileage loss in the winter is idling from car warming more than anything else.
My ES330 gets about 22-23 normally, and this past Sunday and Monday when it was -2F out, I think I was down into the 19.8 MPG range even with a ton of
highway driving because of the amount of idling I was doing just to keep the car from being frozen inside...

My 2013 GS350 gets an average of 23-24 mpg at 1/3 city and 2/3 freeway. I think the biggest hit to mileage is idling while parked and sitting in drivethroughs which I do a fair bit.
I'm in the Phoenix area and I've always gotten worse gas mileage in the summer.

Whoa... one of the main reasons I replaced my Infiniti G35 was that I got fed up of 17mpg, even on the highway. So getting 21-23 mpg with mixed driving over the last 4K miles has been awesome.
How are you guys only getting 13, 15 or 17? I can see 17 with a lead foot, but are you ALL driving like bats out of hell?

I drive almost all local and we got traffic in Chicago. So 13 is what I get usually. Expressway, I've gotten 25MPG a few times on a long road trip.

I average 14-16 mpg in mine. My commute is only 6 miles, and it's all on surface streets with lots of traffic lights, so my expectations are pretty low. It's a terrible route for mileage, though it's also exactly the type of route that a hybrid excels at. I get around 28-30 in our Highlander Hybrid when I take it to work.
But when I drive it out on the highway, like the 200 mile trek to Oregon to visit family, I can easily get 27-29 mpg, which is great for an AWD GS, at least in my opinion.
No complaints, though. The car is awesome.

Indeed. Can I ask where in Florida you are?
I’m just tired of our cool, wet weather here.

Just south and west of West Palm Beach, right about here...
But don't knock the cool, wet weather too much... when summer hits, 100 degree days with daily afternoon rain... the humidity feels like you're wearing a dirty gym towel on your head..

We have family in Boca, Palm Beach Gardens, Miami, and on the other side, in Sarasota. I’m the only one who loves it as I love 100+ degree weather.
